BLOG 7 survey

I found Dreamweaver to be very difficult. At first, I found it fun but then realizing we were barely even scratching the surface. It did help having class recording of the demos and PowerPoints as well as the book to refer to. Another good thing about Dreamweaver, is there are many tutorials online, so it was easy to look about help and troubleshoot problems on my own.

I found it easy to learn Webflow, but I’d agree that doing Dreamweaver helped understand what the elements were. I think doing a little bit of Dreamweaver is helpful, but the projects should be done in Webflow so we are not as limited on our coding ability that ends up effecting the design.

I think the topics of the first blogs were more helpful and they were added when the work was not as heavy as it was towards the end of the semester. I feel like towards the end the blogs were not as helpful. I felt like this class was more focused on learning code then it was designing, but I realize we cannot do one without the other. So, if I were to take anything out of the course, I would lessen the blogs.

I would have been comfortable spending money on a different software, but I guess Dreamweaver would be fine starting in, but just transition the Webflow sooner. Even for project 1 I think I could have spent a lot less time developing the website if it were done in Webflow and moving Webflow up sooner, would allow us to learn more of Webflow and help us when developing the next projects. Moving from Dreamweaver to Webflow about midway through the semester had me feeling like we were starting all over again and learning a whole new software, just because it is so different then Dreamweaver. I feel like starting a new program in the middle of the semester made some students feel even more lost because they did not get Dreamweaver yet.
